Three of my friends left this week for warmer climes, two going to Texas and the other to Georgia. Thereโs not many of us left living here at the RV resort this late in the season, less than a dozen probably.๐๐ฝ Systems-wise, weโre ready to leave,๐๐ฝ but weโve chosen to stay put as long as the weather is good. Once we leave, itโs a toss up as to where we go between then and December 23rd, the date of our first reservation in South Padre Island, Texas. Normally, by now Iโd have the entire month of December scripted, but this time itโs in Godโs hands.
A unique blessing of being amongst very few people is the opportunity to get to know them better.๐๐ฝ Because the resort is virtually deserted, thereโs just more time now to have good conversation, not just exchange pleasantries.๐๐ฝ And what an uplifting, joyful blessing it is to connect with another who is likeminded spiritually!๐๐ฝ
The practice of daily gratitude has developed my trust in that whenever the time is right, weโll be ready to leave. ๐๐ฝ Iโve learned that God knows exactly what I need when I need it, so I donโt have to worry.๐๐ฝ Until then, thereโs enough happening to keep me occupied in this in-between time. ๐๐ฝ Until then, I can relish the opportunities presented to me each day and make the most of them.๐๐ฝ Until then, I can live each moment with gratitude, and that is Peace.๐๐ฝ
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people–for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~1 Timothy 2:1-2
